The Homam provides benefits and happiness to all devotees and their families. The ritual/offering takes place at the feet of the idol Venkateswara. The ritual invokes true blessings to the followers through several holy rituals. The invoking process is done following the scriptures of the Hindu holy book.

  Alipiri Tirupati.

This is where the Homam ritual is conducted following the tune and conduct of:

  • Ø  Vaikhanasa Agama.
  • Ø  Sadhyonkurarpana.
  • Ø  Punyhavachanam.
  • Ø  Viswaksena Puja.

The tying of “Deeksha Kankanam”/ “Raksha Sutram” Lord Venkateswara.  Though popular Homam can be pricy while conducted individually. Due to the high cost of Homam, it is advisable to do it in groups to share the cost.

Sankalpam.

 The Sankalpam is officially conducted after the "Gotra Nama" reading. The "Gotra Nama" is read to all attendants present. After which the arrangement of the “Nava Kundams” Occurs indicating the holy nine forms of the Lord which are:

  • ü  Vishnu.
  • ü  Punya.
  • ü  Purusha.
  • ü  Yagna.
  • ü  Satya.
  • ü  Aniruddha.
  • ü  Kapila.

Entry requirement.

  • To attend the Srinivasa Divyaanugraha Homam one must have:
  • ·         Photo ID (The one provided during the booking process).
  • ·         For NRI devotees have to provide a passport comprising of valid Visa or PR.

Dress code.

During the occasion devotees have to fit into their traditional attires mentioned below:

o   Male: Shirts/Kurta with white dhoti and pyjamas.

o   Female: Saree or Chudidar or half saree with Dupatta.

NB. Strictly, wearing the following clothes is prohibited from the temple:

  • ü  Jeans.
  • ü  T-shirts.

  • Ø  Each ticket costs Rs. 1000 inclusive of the Special Entry Darshan ticket.
  • Ø  Only Four hundred people are allowed every day.
  • Ø  150 tickets are provided online while 50 tickets are released offline.

The Divyaanugraha Homam Process.

The Srinivasa Divyaanugraha process is performed through the below-mentioned steps:

Step 1: Purification.

The process of purification is done by the priests who are trained to offer rituals before the start of the Homam. They purify themselves, then the surrounding areas.

Step 2: Invocation.

The invocation is made in the lit sacred fire. This is to invoke the presence of Venkateswara's idol.

Step 3: Offerings.

During the offerings, the priests lead in the chanting of mantras. The offerings are put into the fire. Offerings offered include:

  • §  Rice.
  • §  Ghee.
  • §  Herbs.

Step 4: Benediction.

Priests appeal for devotees' blessings of health from Lord Venkateswara.

Step 5: Conclusion.

This is the final stage where the devotees are provided with prasadam.

  • ·         Avail yourself at Alipiri (Sapthagiri Gau Pradakshina shala) which is the reporting point at Tirupati.
  • ·         One should not have cell phones, electronic devices, and luggage while going for darshan.
  • ·         Devotees should dress in their traditional attire.
  • ·         No chappals or shoes allowed into the temple, queue lines, and mada streets.
  • ·         Devotees who have group tickets should report together.
  • ·         A devotee should have a printed copy of the Seva booking receipt.
