v  Special performance.

Installation of Lord Ganesh in public areas is accompanied by music, skits, and dance.

v  Making and eating modak.

Modak are sweets favorite of Lord Vinayaka. After the making of the sweets, they are distributed to people as Prasad as the festival goes on. Other food items distributed during this period include:

v  Visarjan.

Ø  Day 2 is to centralize the festival.
